OUT: Album 'Keepsakes' by hackedepicciotto

Keepsakes' is the duo’s second album released on Mute, and was recorded at one of Europe’s oldest recording spaces, the Neapolitan studio Auditorium Novecento. Inspired by the space, which was home to Caruso and Morricone, the new compositions feature tubular bells and a grand piano within their signature sound of symphonic drone. Where past albums speak of universal themes, this mesmerising new creation has a very personal touch, the duo calls it “an ode to friendship, presenting songs of gratitude”.

OUT: Album 'Ghosts' by Black Light Smoke

Black Light Smoke is the electronic music moniker of Jordan Lieb - producer, songwriter, and award winning film and TV composer. A Chicago native, Jordan transplanted to New York City in 2001, where his career as a multi-disciplined musician has taken flight in many forms.

The album title, 'Ghosts', tells two stories. One is personal - an artist embracing the shadows of his past in order to move forward and complete a body of work. The second story is a search for the original meaning of house music - not just the usual sample, appropriation or casual nod to the originators of house - but a meditation on the living story of Black America in which house music is an inseparable chapter. Both stories are a reflection on grief and the transformation of trauma into celebration.

OUT: Single 'Never Be The Same' by Karla Blum

Berlin born and bred, electronic music is in Karla Blum’s blood. Having grown up on all the riches that city has to offer, the committed clubber, Karla has developed into a producer of note and a celebrated DJ. With this release on Senso Sounds, she has found the perfect home for her raw, energetic sounds. 'Never Be The Same' is a driving, rolling techno cut that keeps on adding tension and atmosphere throughout - a peak time banger for sure. Maksim Dark adds a stripped down, hard hitting remix in his signature sound while the Kaspar remix delivers knocking drums and a mutating bassline that ratchets up the excitement at every turn.

OUT: Album 'Indigo Sine Wave' by Ain't About Me

"'Indigo Sine Wave' is the first work created after I drank "the medicine" (the mother plant). The most precious download I caught at the ceremony was "seeing" the long lineage of artists committed to channeling this space. Erykah, the Coltranes, Mos Def, Saul Williams, Dave Chapelle, Sun Ra… Dancers, musicians, visual artists… I took this to mean that there is a qualitative – though, for some, maybe imperceptible – difference between Art and entertainment. And this difference is in the frequency. From the very beginning, it was clear to us that we were working with the water element. Yemaya, the goddess of the ocean and the mother of all gods is a strong presence throughout. I'm aware that using language to speak to the realities of spirit is always problematic. So, in closing, I'll just say that the main character eventually gets levelled by the ocean. He becomes it."

"human fallacy is a perfection and the constant an indigo sine wave impossible to tame and everything else is just empty space" – Indigo Sine Wave
