out soon: 'Brother Equal' by Random Willson & Brokof

Brokof and Greg Northrop's debut album will be out September 1st via Goldrausch Records!

'Brother Equal' is a transatlantic collaboration of poet, singer/songwriter, Random Willson (Greg Northrop) and Berlin based band Brokof.

Produced by Goldrausch owners, Fabian Brokof and Arne Bergner, the record has a very natural, intimate, conversational tone. 'Brother Equal', is clearly a collaboration, but more so an understanding between established Berlin quartet Brokof and their new New York neighbor Random Willson.

Their conversation is warm and honest, one they’d like to have with the world. 'Brother Equal' is a snapshot of a man transitioning from living in NYC to Berlin. Northrop's poetry reflects a wandering poet, writing post cards, learning from trials and yearning for the bright side. Fabian Brokof and Arne Bergner of Brokof, opened a door for Random Willson and have done a fine job bringing Northrop’s poetry and playing to fruition. Their skill set nicely augments his narrative, allowing them to weave in their own instrumental sensibilities and a long - nurtured affinity towards American Singer - Songwriters. Add groove master Puya Shoary (Brokof drummer and Percussionist) and Brokof's Rocksteady Bassman Rocco Weiseto the mix and RW&B is what you get.

'Brother Equal' will be out on World Peace Day, September 1st via Goldrausch Records.

Freibank and hfn Music are part of the Reeperbahn Festival 2017!

Two Hamburg institutions in the music landscape join forces and build the 'freihfn'.

Independent publisher freibank and indietronic imprint hfn-music have collaborated on countless projects since the early 90’s, most recently in respect of Trentemøller. Jointly putting on an eclectic showcase, hosted by Hamburg Haus @ St. Pauli Museum, during the Reeperbahn Festival 2017 is a overdue pleasure.

The diverse program ranges from the mind-blowing Iranian-German newcomers Pari San via compelling Danish singer-songwriter Jacob Bellens and Danish electro-pop eccentric Lydmor as well as promsising Hamburg-based electro pop duo Me Succeeds, who close out the night.

Danielle de Picciotto is part of the monika werkstatt project

The new project size for monika enterprise in the coming years is 'monika life'

Summer 2016: Ten solo artists met in a studio on the countryside close to berlin and make music together. Free and without a concept - still full of the monika workshops they experienced the time before, just let go.

The workshop/werkstatt in the studio. 3 days of eating, talking and improvising together. After listening to the recordings each artist took a track home to develope and finish the production.

The result is the album 'Monika Werkstatt (m90)' that was released as double Vinyl and CD on June 17th.

And monika celebrates its 20th birthday.

Check their live dates!

Trentemøller feat. jennylee: 'Hands Down'

New song and video out now!

Only a few months ago Trentemøller released his fourth album Fixion to much applause from listeners and media around the globe. Since then the Danish musician and producer embarked on a live-tour with over 50 venues shows, with the most being sold-out.

Luckily Trentemøller still managed to work in his studio and the result is a brand-new song: 'Hands Down'.
This new single sees Trentemøller team up with jennylee of Warpaint - the LA based indie rock outfit. The result is an edgy pop moment that combines an urgent rhythm section, sparkling guitars interwoven with synth flourishes and a killer vocal from jennylee.

LA based visual artist, photographer and director Justin Tyler Close captured singer jennylee in charming lo-fi aesthetics for the official video.

Out Now: 'Moments Of Truth'

Tim Engelhardt's debut album has been released May 5th!

Releasing his first Longplayer might deceive from the fact that Tim Engelhardt has already been bustling on a high level within the recent years.

Now after over a dozen outputs of EPs his first full-length appears as a logical step to bundle his huge repertoire of different electronic vibes.

His style is often entitled as playful, intuitive, athmospheric, jazzy, melodic and cinematic but still dancable with rhythmic and housy elements.

Discographically debuting at the age of 14 it is unquestioned that Engelhard is one of the most talented musicians in the scene and beyond.

Poker Flat Recordings is introducing another promising artist and we are happy to take part in it.

new Leyya-single 'Zoo'

'Zoo' just premiered on Pigeons and Planes.

Austrian duo Leyya's debut single 'Superego' passed two million streams on on Spotify. They're back with a flourish of sitar on 'Zoo'. “The Idea for 'Zoo' came while watching a sitar lesson on the internet," Leyya explains. "It set a certain mood we wanted to transfer to our song, so it’s quite meditative, but combined with our way of songwriting.”
