Shiraz Lane announce new single!

'Do You' will be out August 16th via Ranka Kustannus

"We are thrilled to announce the release of our new single 'Do You'. It is a groovy mixture of ground pounding riffs and angelic melodies that will captive the ears of all listeners. We think this is a solid successor for the style we set out to accomplish on our previous album ('Carnival Days'), but with evolved composing, arranging and production joining forces yet again with our trusted producer wizard Per Aldeheim.

After releasing two albums with Frontiers Music Srl. we felt like it was time to welcome a fresh breeze of expertise in the room and decided to made the transition continuing our journey with Ranka Kustannus (Riku Pääkönen). Riku is known to be one of the most ambitious names in the music business; originally signing bands like Nightwish and Children Of Bodom and helping them to the point in which they are today. 'Do You' is the first taste of what we have been cooking behind the scenes together and we hope that all you people out there will give it a spin, since this banger is bound to sweep you off your feet!"

News from our Partner Third Side Music

We bring you some news on new releases, signings and catalogues from our canadian partner Third Side Music:

New EP by SOFI TUKKER in September

The dance pop duo from the USA has celebrated a great amount of successes in the last couple of years (just to name one: Grammy nomination) and their music has been placed in big commercials of brands such as Apple and is regularly featured in various movies and series.

This year, SOFI TUKKER have already released the three singles: 'Playa Grande' (click for song), 'Fantasy' (click for video) and 'Swing' (click for video). Now they have confirmed to release a new EP on the 20th of September 2019 titled 'Dancing On the People'. Sophie and Tucker have recently talked about the EP and describe is as follows: "When you’re dancing in the club and it’s so packed you completely lose yourself in it and don’t even know where you end and the next person begins, cuz you’re all one vibration, that’s when you’re dancing on the people. It’s a feeling of complete lack of inhibition and complete connection. It’s the feeling you get at our parties and it’s the best feeling in the world!"

This is not just the best description of the new songs, but for sure also of their past concerts. We recommend you to take part in this party. Your next chances are coming up! SOFI TUKKER will headline a couple of shows this December including Frankfurt, Hamburg, Köln, München und Berlin.

New signing from Australia: Haiku Hands

One of the new editions to the Third Side Music-Family and therefore also to the Freibank-Family are Haiku Hands.
The Trio is from the other side of the world - Australia - and musically, they feel home in various kind of genres. They get inspired by hip hop, pop, electro, disco, mix and match everything together and end up creating an impulsive piece of art. The badass australian outfit first burst onto the scene with their stellar debut track 'Not About You' (click for video); a single that mixes a bold sensibility for the dancefloor with cheeky girl gang lyrics and M.I.A. energy. Their newest single is called 'Dare You Not To Dance' (click for video), but forbiddingly makes you wanna dance.

We are already looking forward to hearing more from the three energy balls!

New Signing: Chaos Chaos

We would also like to introduce to you the Brooklyn / New York based Sisterduo Chaos Chaos (until 2012 formerly known as Smoosh), who also just recently signed to the Third Side Music Roster. Asya and Chloe Saavedra (born mid 90s) have been making music together since their childhood and released three albums under their old band name. After a couple of EPs, they released their fourth album in 2018 as Chaos Chaos. Despite their young age, they have already gathered a lot of experience through out their career and shared the stage with well known artists such as Pearl Jam, Death Cab For Cutie, Tokyo Police Club, The Dresden Dolls, Jimmy Eat World and Cat Power. Wow!

Furthermore, they gained a broader awareness after the song 'Do You Feel It' (click for song) got picked for the successful comic series 'Rick and Morty'. Co-Creator of the series Justin Roiland himself is a huge fan of the band and was even featured in the song 'Terryfold', which landed the electro pop duo their first chart entry. 'Armed and Dangerous' (click for video) is the most recent song and was released in May 2019.

Soundway-Catalogue including afrobeat and funk from Ghana

Just recently, our canadian partner has takes over the catalogue of Soundway Records. Part of this diverse catalogue are releases from african, latin american and asian artists from 1950 up to today. These include the best-selling compilation "Doing It In Lagos" (2016) and others such as Nigeria Special, Ghana Special & Kenya Special compilation albums that Cleret spent years bringing together. With these compilations alongside a string of highly sought-after rare reissue albums, the label has also began in 2012 to develop a series of original contemporary releases. These include releases from acts such as Batida, Ibibio Sound Machine, Debruit & Alsarah, Ondatropica, The Meridian Brothers, Bomba Estereo, Family Atlantica, Dexter Story, The Heliocentrics, Lord Echo and The Mauskovic Dance Band.

DJ Polique & A-Park drop 'For You'

Young urban imprint RNFR Recordings is happy to roll out another sick song by Germany's number one urban DJ Polique, together with young singer/songwriter talent A-Park.

With their new song 'For You', the Nuremberg based duo created a lovely R&B tune that has everything a 2019 club anthem needs. The beautiful voice of A-Park gave this song a very special touch and made 'For You' DJs worldwide their favorite choice when it comes to peak-time tracks.

DJ Polique started his career years ago as a Radio- and Club DJ in Bavaria, Germany. His recent production Don’t Wanna Go Home became the most shazamed track in Turkey and Greece for a couple of weeks.

His references speak for themselves: DJ Polique has already collaborated with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Tyga, Mario Winans, Mohombi, Pachanga, Goldie and many more.

new signing: Cats & Breakkies

We welcome young, talented live-techno band Cats & Breakkies from Berlin!

Cats & Breakkis have jazz in their hearts and techno in their genes. With a classical band line-up - e-guitar, bass, drums, keys - they rock an instrumental dj-live-set on stages, floors and festivals anytime. Always danceable to, with courage to elegiac melodies, opulent breaks and rich surfaces, they convince above all by a precise build-up of tension and tonal dimension in their arrangements. After their debut album 'Organic Electro', co-produced with David August, had been released in 2015, they were nominated for the 'Bremer Jazzpreis 2016' in the category 'Jazz & Electronics', followed by multiple performances at festivals and clubs, eg. at the Kantine am Berghain, the Tallinn Music Week and the Fusion Festival. With 'Spectral' 2018 they stepped up their game yet again. In ten tracks, which consists of three individual short-sets, they weave artful tonal and metric layers, drill thick disco-boards, deliver perfect build up and drop dramaturgy - and above all in a relaxed way put on immense pressure. Cats & Breakkies, that is elegant, straightforward live-techno from Berlin.

The bands new single 'Haus ohne Türen' will be out August 30th and features Berlin-based photographer Stephan Noë.
