'Bazon: Serious Jokes' premiered at Hamburg Film Festival

We licensed Blixa Bargeld & Teho Teardo's 'Mi Scusi' and 'New Religion' by Abwärts for the latest documentary of Hamburg-based filmmaker Peter Sempel. 'Bazon: Serious Jokes' is a documentary about German art theorist and critic, multi-media generalist and artist Bazon Brock, who's also considered a member of Fluxus.

Peter Sempel's film directorial work started in 1981 and has been focused mostly on urban characters. Those persona are recurrent characters in his films, or make odd appearances only. Of those people, many have influenced the music score of Sempel's films. Besides music, the films are all marked by a travelogue through the various countries the Director visits to meet his characters.
