just out: 'Just When You Thought It Was Over' by Katerina
Spacey melodies meet jagged rhythms on the artist's first Cómeme release.
Matias Aguayo's Cómeme has released some of the scene's more peculiar rhythm-based electronic music. The Helsinki-based Bulgarian producer Katerina experiments with these kind of sounds. Her debut Cómeme release 'Just When You Thought It Was Over' blends a range of influences and styles into a cross-section of unrefined but complex emotions.
Katerina's punk sensibility, which can be heard on her Radio Cómeme show, also filters into her productions. Her fragile voice appears throughout the EP, mumbling improvised melodies and off-hand one-liners over trashed electro grooves and bubbly synths.

Out Soon: 15 music poems by Mona Mur and Miron Zownir!
'Those Days Are Over' is undoubtedly one of the most unusual and impressive cross-media collaborations between two Berlin artists this summer!
Both are like-minded individuals with passion and untamed creativity, who sooner or later seemingly had to find each other and are now releasing a new Audio-CD.
Mona Mur, whose musical career began in the early 1980s with her New Wave punk band Mona Mur & The Tenants (with Gode, Mark Chung, FM Einheit and Alexander Hacke), created an absorbing, mysterious soundscape with the setting of Miron Zownir's English-language poems, absorbing the idiosyncratic expressiveness of the poet with her mystic voice and musical compositions full of powerful melancholy and provocative wildness. (...)
Mona Mur transforms 15 poems by photographer, writer and filmmaker Miron Zownir, which Stanley Kubrik's scriptwriter Terry Southern has long ago nicknamed "Poet of Radical Photography", into deeply disturbing "Poetronica" revealing a cynical “outsider” perspective onto the many superficial surfaces of our lifes ...” (Nico Anfuso, Berlin 2018)
The CD will be exclusivley available for presale at the upcoming live events with Mona Mur.

New Borusiade EP is out!
'Their Specters' was released August 10th through Ostgut Ton's Unterton sub-label.
'Their Specters' will mark Miruna Boruzescu's debut on Unterton, and we're told the Romanian producer - whose style recalls new wave, industrial, EBM and techno sounds - had in mind "themes of ecological and human self-destruction" when composing its four tracks.
Boruzescu released her debut album, 'A Body', through Cómeme earlier this year. Besides Matias Aguayo's label, she's notched appearances on labels including Correspondant, Cititrax and Dark Entries over the past couple years.(words: Brian Kolada/ Resident Advisor)

New Patrick Siegfried Zimmer release announced!
'Memories I–X' will be out September 28th.
The video for the 1st single 'Eternity' premiered on Spex - Magazin für Popkultur today!
'Memories I–X' is the first part of a musical decalogy by universal dilettante Patrick Siegfried Zimmer. Scheduled to be released successively over the course of 30 years, ten journal entries every three years. Such is the artist's plan, »provided I'll live to be at least 70 years old and both inspiration and the will to live stay with me.« At which point the opus can always be extended.
Patrick Siegfried Zimmer first hit the scene in 2003 when he released 'Expose Yourself To Lower Education' under the finn. moniker. The album was met with instant international success. In 2008, he toured Europe with Ólafur Arnalds, one year later he took the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival's stage alongside Stephan Eicher (of Grauzone fame and one of the most renowned chansonniers in French language) and book author Philippe Djian (Betty Blue), and he has played multiple shows with José Gonzales.
»I–X I got closer than ever to making the album I've always wanted to record«, says Patrick Siegfried Zimmer. »I didn't approach the album as a musician, the process actually was like writing a proper diary in which I attempted to process heartbreak, my anxieties and my joy, to make them tangible for myself.«
