The message of Gregor McEwan's brand new single is clear. As long as loving people are interested in each other and emotions are burning, material values or status symbols should be of no importance.  "no certainties, no stable income, too small to succeed, too big to be gone" says the song lyrics . This describes the precarious financial situation of many a creative artist. That this could be an autobiographical description of the modern balladeer himself is open to question. In any case, 'My Little Girl' is a romantic love song and at the same time "a song against the philistinism", as Gregor McEwan says.

OUT: Album 'Eskimo Summer' by Kastrierte Philosophen

Kastrierte Philosophen were an indie band that released eleven albums in the eighties and nineties. Permanent members and at the same time masterminds were Katrin Achinger and Matthias Arfmann, who were also once a couple and married. The band's range of music was always amazing, combining Velvet Underground coolness, shoegazers, spoken word, rave, electro, minimal pop, chanson, reggae, new wave, dub, genius dilettantes, lyrics in German and English (as well as Spanish and French).
