new release: 'Blue Caves' by Melquìades

The latest release on Francis Harris’ Scissor & Thread label out of Brooklyn is another exercise in deep and meditative atmospheres.

The label, comprised of a tight knit collective of multi-faceted composers, vocalists and instrumentalists, always strives to develop new projects based on a shared aesthetic, and this five track EP is both boundary pushing and fully synchronized with the label’s approach.

With Melquíades' 'Blue Caves' Melbourne based Composer and Sound Designer Alexander Albrecht presents his solo debut EP following on from the 'Tidal River' album he released as part of the Albrecht La'Brooy duo.

The Dresden-based band just released their long-awaited debut album 'Levity' via Undressed Records.

Cedric play intense songs between the poles of post rock, alternative and post punk - formed by impressive walls of sound and furious desire. The three-piece was founded in 2013 in Dresden, GER as it plunged into one of its many jam sessions to come, which still to this day form the basis of their songs - driven by heavy, glimmering guitars, angry grooves and vocals between soulful and gloomy.

In 2015, Cedric released their debut single 'Communion=Hoax' and embarked on a tour through music clubs in Germany and UK, supported bands like New Model Army and played at the famous german Taubertal Festival with an attending audience of 12,000 people.

The debut album 'Levity' was released on Undressed Records to great critical acclaim in european music magazines and radio stations. The outstanding singles of this output met positive overall popularity with rock fans.

As one of the most gripping and promising german newcomer bands in the postgenre Cedric are currently presenting their work on their headlining-tour through Germany and Europe.

Poker Flat go for the jugular with this blazing collaborative EP.

We are very proud to announce, that we just signed singer, rapper, poet, social activist, Akua Naru who recently released her highly anticipated, soulful new album 'The Blackest Joy' via SPV.

The 11-track project is her third studio album and the follow up to 2015’s 'The Miner's Canary'.

The American raised and now Germany-based artist and activist, Naru, intertwines elements of African traditional music with her modern Jazz rap style.The Blackest Joy is a stunning musical journey with themes of race, identity, the role of women and femininity. It takes the listener through compelling stories of triumph through tribulation and the arrival at power and joy through struggle. It is a composition of music to celebrate black joy and an aesthetic homage to the power of the human spirit in its strength to overcome.

Through her music, this gifted artist is committed to spreading the idea of multiculturalism while celebrating the culture she was born into. Through the release of 'The Blackest Joy' and on her international tour which kicked off in the United Kingdom on May 1, Akua brings her message to the masses. Borusiade announces debut album!

'A Body' will be out March 9th through Cómeme.

The Bucharest-born artist, real name Miruna Boruzescu, has close ties to Matias Aguayo's Cómeme label - she released her first-ever record, 2016's 'Jeopardy' EP, via the outlet, followed by a second EP, 'Silent', last year. The new record, which spans seven tracks, covers similar ground, with nods to synth pop, techno, EBM and new wave.

Shiraz Lane return to italian Frontiers Records for the release of their second album!

Shiraz Lane have been extremely busy throughout 2017 composing, producing and recording their second album in collaboration with the Swedish producer Per Aldeheim (Def Leppard, Soilwork, Lambretta).

Shiraz Lane personifies creative variety, which resonates through their double-edged guitar sound (produced by lead guitarist Jani Laine and rhythm guitarist Miki Kalske), groovy-yet-solid ground pounding (Ana Willman drums & Joel Alex bass) and the unmistakably high-soaring melodies chanted by lead singer Hannes Kett. Despite their relative youth, they are already veterans of the underground circuit in their homeland and have developed a reputation for being uncompromising, loud, and most of all, the genuine article.

Although wearing inspiration and paying homage to their predecessors like Aerosmith and Guns N' Roses, their sound and music is destined to develop into something unique. Members of Halestorm, The 69 Eyes, Amorphis, Children Of Bodom, Lordi and Sonic Syndicate have all praised the band’s live efforts.

'Minor Forms' is out on Scissor & Thread since February 23rd and includes remixes by Valentino Mora.

Francis Harris’ own output has gone from tightly wound tech house cuts as Adultnapper in the early days, sublime deep house as Frank & Tony, intricate and expressive musical journeys as evident in his two solo-albums 'Leland' and 'Minutes Of Sleep', and ambient shoegaze with two Aris Kindt albums, co-produced with Gabe Hedrick. Most recently Harris branched out with a new label - Kingdoms - a home for his love of a more adventurous sound.

Now we are proud to present his new solo single, the first since the release of 'Minutes of Sleep', 'Minor Forms' which includes two remarkable remixes by Valentino Mora.

Steve Bug & Langenberg Team up for album 'Paradise Sold'

First single 'NGC 6240' will be out February 23rd!

Following on from the well received 'Chord Cluster' EP from late 2017, the irresistible pairing of Steve Bug and Langenberg return with 'Paradise Sold' - a full ten track album of exquisitely crafted house music on Bug’s own Poker Flat Recordings (out: 6th of April 2018).

Neither Steve Bug nor Langenberg needs much introduction due to the sizeable contributions both have made in building the European house and techno scene as we know it. Bug’s relentless commitment to quality - both in his own work and in the many producers he has championed - has made him one of electronic music's most revered artists and curators.

The first single called 'NGC 6240' will be released with two remixes from Tim Engelhardt and Vince Watson on February 23rd.
